Our sessions are not about getting everyone to sit pretty and smile at the camera, but rather we aim to shoot you as you are – a family in context. We are about real joy, freckles, and crinkly noses; all the bits that make your family your family. We are about losing yourself in the moment, celebrating time together as a family, and cherishing these memories. We are about giggles and laughing out loud, mucking around and being crazy as only kids can be.
Tristan is a big kid at heart who loves Lego, playing hide and seek, and loves being a photographer; he also loves to talk! Monika loves coming up with new ideas and (luckily!) she is good at listening. We are both addicted to board games
Alyssa is five and loves birthday parties, school, and drawing. Alexis is three and loves to sing and dance. Our girls provide us with our inspiration and generally light up our lives.
We aim to capture the little things your children do – the way they stick their tongue out at you, or the way they jump without their feet ever leaving the ground. Our philosophy can be summed up very well by a great quote from Jon Kabat-Zinn: “The little things? The little moments? They aren’t little.”
Sharing time with families, watching how they interact and have fun together is a pretty awesome experience. Being able to see the connections in a photo and to see how you felt at the time is what we aim for. Being able to document not just what you look like, but who you are.
Overall, we want to give you images that reflect the essence of your family; the feelings, the expressions, and the love.
Special thanks to Monika and Tristan for their post about Butterbomb and for being our guest admin on our Facebook page over the weekend
